Have you ever thought about how reading thought provoking literature prepares us and our children to face situations? Come join this conversation!
What value can be found in a book with such an odd title? C. S. Lewis’s epistolary work of fiction has been lauded as a “must read” in spiritual works and yet is at times laughably entertaining. Is this combination possible? Listen and judge for yourself.
Why do students study short stories in Challenge B? And why is “The Necklace” a story that is enjoyed on so many different levels by students and adults? This tale, with its surprise ending, opens our eyes to the importance of how the desires of our heart can change the course of our life in an inkling. How can a character be so self-absorbed in her own beauty and worldly desires yet rise to play the part of a hero? Listen as we discuss this timeless story.
